Transition Belsize Green Fair – 24 Sep

Don’t miss Transition Belsize’s biggest annual event, the Transition Belsize Green Fair, this Saturday 24th September from 10am to 4pm on Haverstock Hill, between Hampstead Old Town Hall and Glenloch Road. Come and experience a pop-up urban farm in NW3, with fun-filled activities including farmyard animals, beekeeping, apple pressing, food growing and Bart the organic farmer. Learn how to keep chickens or make jam, enter the quirky veg competition, join the Camden Friends of the Earth Treasure Trail or go on a foraging walk (11am and 1pm from Belsize Park tube station). For more details on the Green Fair, and on how to enter the Quirky Veg competition, please go to the Transition Belsize website .

To mark British Food Fortnight, which started last Saturday, Thornton's Budgens of Belsize Park will be running a Local Food Fairduring the Transition Belsize Green Fair. Stall 4 All, who run the stalls outside Budgens, are inviting as many local food producers to showcase and highlight the wealth of wonderful British food being created and grown locally.
